The AFC Asian Cup 2011 is ready to be enjoyed!

The World Cup 2022 host was already announced by FIFA. It is Qatar, and they are holding the highest football competition in Asia now. Qatar is to host the AFC Asian Cup 2011. This is the 15th edition for the Asian Cup, and Qatar also has hosted in 1988. This the time for Asian football lovers, where the countries of Asia’s best football will match each other in Qatar from 7 to 29 January, to determine who is the best at the beginning of this decade.

There are five stadiums set to hosts 15 teams, not including Qatar, who competed in this tournament. The biggest is the Khalifa International Stadium, the capacity reaches 50 thousands seats. While Jassim bin Hamad Stadium is a stadium with 17thousand seats capacity only. There are also three other stadiums are Al-Gharafa, Ahmed bin Ali Stadium (both with capacity of 25 thousands seats) and Qatar SC Stadium (seating capacity of 20 thousand).

Certainly, 16 teams competing in this tournament are stunning teams that often take part in international competitions, both the level of Asia also World Championship. Say it Japan, South Korea, Australia, and Saudi Arabia.

Looking at the composition of players, most of the players are from Asia who competes in Europe with the elite team. They have asked permission to play to their country, and they are allowed. If we have this , of course there are will be a lot of good match must be awaited.

  1. Unfortunately there is no team from South-East Asia at all...such a bad news for SEA football development.

In the 2007, there were 4 countries as the hosts. But no one from them qualified the AFC Asian Cup 2011.
