Syamsir Alam and Zainal Haq are ready to give all that they have to Penarol

At Quarta Division competition in Uruguay this 2011 season, Syamsir Alam and Mohammad Zainal Haq will change their club of the Indonesian SAD team to Club de Atletico Penarol. The clob is one of the best in South America, with five times won the Libertadores Cup and 3 times won the Intercontinental Cup.

Penarol was given by IFFHS as the Best Club in South America throughout the 20th century. Penarol is the most successful club along the Uruguayan League by winning 37 times the professional competition.

“At least, if later I had joined them, I’ll add my training in order to improve my physical condition before beginning to start the competition in February”, said Alam.

“I will join them in Quarta Division, at least if the coaches are satisfied with my performance then I could have placed in the reserve team or even a place in the main team”, mentioned Alam.

When still joined with the SAD Indonesia Team, Alam has said that his favorite team in Uruguay is the Nacional which became the eternal rivals of Penarol. Even every of the two teams met, it dubbed as the Super Clasico Montevideo. However, he received an offer from Penarol and Alam could only laugh when asked by President of Penarol why even choose to join with Penarol.

Joined Penarol is the first step to get Syamsir Alam and Zainal Haq to play in the European Leagues bid. Penarol has plenty of connections and networks with the scouts in Europe. Gaston Ramirez, a young player from Penarol has joined Bologna, club in Serie A Italy, in the last summer transfer.

But, unfortunately so far Alam still has not got the call to strengthen the Garuda U-23 for the SEA Games in 2011. He said that his priority is the National Team, and he submitted to PSSI on setting up an agreement between Garuda and Penarol. He was eager to join the Garuda U-23. In 2009, Alam also had joined with the Garuda U-17 when participated in U-17 Asian Cup Qualification 2009 in Jakarta.

Alam and Zainal Haq will undergo the recruitment for a year contract with Penarol. These two young Indonesian players will join Penarol as a part of a cooperative agreement between PSSI and Penariol on last September.

SAD Indonesia will also send two teams with different age to compete at the Quarta Division. At the moment, the selection of players has been made in recent months but the results still have not been announced. These teams will depart to Uruguay this month.
